As many of these websites carry a variety of formats
for eBooks you will need to know what format your eReader accepts so that
you order the format that is compatible.
The Walpole Town Library does not recommend any particular eBook
Store. This list provides some of the most popular sites in no particular
order. Note: Some of the stores offer apps for other readers,
e.g. Barnes & Noble has apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and PC.

US
because the copyright has expired. They may not be copyright-free in
other countries. Readers outside of the
US must check the
copyright laws of their countries before downloading or redistributing
our ebooks.
Free eBooks

Free books or upgraded membership. Content contains more obscure
titles and self published titles for those wanting something that is not
mainstream.
iBooks
-- Application for Apple's
iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone.
iBooks includes the iBookstore. Tap the iBooks icon and your
bookshelf appears. In the upper corner, tap the Store button and the
bookshelf flips around to reveal the iBookstore. From the iBookstore,
you can browse books by title, author, or genre. You can also view
featured books as well as books available on the New York Times
best-seller lists. Tap on a book to see more details and read a sample.
When you buy a book it automatically appears on your iBooks bookshelf.
